The following
are the contractor's requirements for Maintenance of Traffic
during construction:
Weekdays
No lane closures will take place on Route 28 or secondary
roads during the morning (5:30- 9:00 a.m.) or evening (3:30-
7:00 p.m.) rush hours. Motorists should expect occasional
lane closures from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. and from 7:00
p.m. until 5:30 a.m.
Holidays
On major holidays (Memorial Day, Labor Day, July 4, Thanksgiving
and Christmas) there will be no lane closures from noon of
the day before a holiday until noon of the day after a holiday.
Weekends
Motorists should expect occasional lane closures on weekends.
Notification
Weekly traffic management plans (lane closures, detours, etc.)
will be communicated via this website, local newspapers and
through message boards or signage posted at the project sites.
Also, all work schedules are weather sensitive and may be
adjusted in the event of rain.

1. Left turn lane from southbound Rt. 28 to Nokes Blvd. will be closed. Traffic
will be detoured to Severn Way.
2. Dual lane closures on Rt. 28 northbound.
3. Single lane closure on Rt. 28 southbound
4. Westbound Nokes Blvd. to northbound Rt. 28 will be closed. Traffic will be
detoured to Severn Way. Westbound Nokes Blvd. to southbound Rt. 28 only.
1. Expect daily lane closures on northbound and southbound Route 28 between Route
625 and Route 7.
2. Expect daily lane closures on westbound and eastbound Nokes Boulevard between
Atlantic Blvd. and Route 28.
