Route 28 Corridor Improvements

The following are the contractor's requirements for Maintenance of Traffic during construction:

Weekdays
No lane closures will take place on Route 28 or secondary roads during the morning (5:30- 9:00 a.m.) or evening (3:30- 7:00 p.m.) rush hours. Motorists should expect occasional lane closures from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. until 5:30 a.m.

Holidays
On major holidays (Memorial Day, Labor Day, July 4, Thanksgiving and Christmas) there will be no lane closures from noon of the day before a holiday until noon of the day after a holiday.

Weekends
Motorists should expect occasional lane closures on weekends.

Notification
Weekly traffic management plans (lane closures, detours, etc.) will be communicated via this website, local newspapers and through message boards or signage posted at the project sites. Also, all work schedules are weather sensitive and may be adjusted in the event of rain.
